Holiday Events You Should Make Sure to Attend

For so many people the holidays are their most favorite time of the year. The bright lights and decorated trees cause our spirits to soar, the Christmas caroling finds us humming along and the delight on the faces of children when they see Santa is just priceless. There are many holiday events taking place around the Grand Strand and we’ll tell you about some you won’t want to miss out on! Remember, they just come around once a year!

Brookgreen Gardens for the Holidays

If you don’t go anywhere else you must see Nights of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet. There are more than 5,000 candles and thousands of lights illuminating the sculptures and gardens. Live entertainment can be seen in the Main Entertainment Tent and Pegasus Tent. Enjoying roving bagpipers, live bands and musical performances from local groups. Performances are from 3-10 p.m. on December 17-20, 2015.

Carriage Rides at the Market Commons

Enjoy free Carriage Rides for the holidays at The Market Common. Carriages will stop in front of Dolce Lusso Salon and take you on a free spin through the complex. Rides will be available from 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 20-23, 2015, throughout the holiday season at The Market Common.

All Night Skate at Fun Warehouse

Fun Warehouse is hosting a New Year’s Eve All Night Skate from 7 p.m. Thursday, December 31 through 7 a.m. January 1. Tickets are available for $25 and include skating from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., skate rentals, one game of laser tag, a slice of pizza and a drink. You’ll also get donuts and a drink the next morning before you head home. Buy your tickets online and get a special bonus! Fun Warehouse is located at 2349 Dick Pond Rd, Myrtle Beach, SC.

Spending New Years Eve at Market Commons

Join the Southern Times Square Celebration at The Market Common this New Year’s Eve. Enjoy two live bands, two beer gardens, a live feed from New York City’s Times Square and free street entertainment. Then finish off the night with a fireworks show to go along with the ball drop! Admission to the event is free. Large bags and backpacks are prohibited.
