Things to Do During October Vacations in North Myrtle Beach

There never seems to be a shortage of things to do around the coastal area of South Carolina, especially in the Grand Strand region. The festival runs from Friday, October 4, 4 – 9 p.m., Saturday, October 5, 11 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Sunday, October 6, 12 p.m. – 5 p.m. Come enjoy live German music on Saturday and Sunday. There’s the largest selection ever of Oktoberfest beer and German food from 20+ vendors. Fun and games will be available for the kids.

Pawleys-Island-Music-ArtThe Pawleys Island Festival of Music & Art takes place Oct. 1-13, 2013. This is definitely a not-to-be-missed event that comes around every year at this time.

The City of Conway is hosting their Annual City of Conway Fall Festival on Saturday, October 5 beginning at 12 noon. The festival will feature live entertainment, kids’ activities, food, antique car show and more. The event is being held at 3rd Avenue and Laurel Street.

Don’t miss the Little River Shrimp Festival starting on Saturday, October 12. This is a 2-day event that includes live entertainment, kids’ activities, vendors, fresh shrimp and seafood specialties. If you’re a shrimp lover you’re sure to get your fill at this popular event!

chililympics_2013The 14th Annual Lip-Rippin’ Chilympics Chili Cook-Off will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013, from noon until 6:00 p.m. at Spuds Waterfront Dining in Murrells Inlet. There will be a fabulous line-up of live bands for your enjoyment. Admission is free and the event is open to the public. For more information about competing or attending call Bruxanne Hein at (843) 333-2034.
