7th Annual Paws Across the Water Duck Race
Ten thousand yellow rubber ducks will be dumped into the Intracoastal Waterway to compete for an array of prizes. Adoption papers are available at the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach (409 Bay Street) or adopt online by visiting www.duckrace.com/northmyrtlebeach. Proceeds from the race will help to build a much-needed new facility that will house the more than 2,500 animals brought to the shelter annually. This year’s show features Galactic and G. Love & Special Sauce. Highlights are authentic German food, beer and wine; an alcohol-free Kid’s Zone with inflatables and street performers; a Bratwurst eating contest; and an amazing fireworks display. Free live concerts all day include:

Ocean Boulevard will be closed to motor vehicles from 8th Avenue N. to Mr. Joe White Ave. (Pyler Park). A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Horry County Special Olympics.
