Youth Baseball Nationals to be Held in Myrtle Beach

The Youth Baseball Nationals in Myrtle Beach will take place on three separate weeks from Friday, June 13 through Thursday, July 3, 2014. This is a week-long national tournament for 9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U and 15U baseball teams played on the turf fields at beautiful Grand Park at Market Common in Myrtle Beach, right on the Atlantic coast. This park is one of the best youth baseball complexes in the country and Myrtle Beach is the ultimate baseball vacation destination with so many great activities and local events you’ll want to do everything there is to do here!

Myrtle Waves Water ParkAll players and coaches will receive complimentary admission to Myrtle Waves water park as part of your tournament package. Myrtle Waves is the largest water park in the state of South Carolina and features tube slides and an awesome selection of speed slides!

As part of your tournament package all players and coaches will also receive complimentary admission to the Broadway Grand Prix Race Park. Broadway Grand Prix offers an exhilarating experience for all ages! They have seven tracks racing to bring families together, a SpeedDome arcade with over 50 games including side-by-side linked racing machines, and kiddie rides for the little ones where parents can ride along too! You can also visit two 18 hole mini golf courses for all to enjoy a round or two.

Teams will have an off day scheduled during pool play, the first 4 days of the Nationals, enabling your team and family members to spend time at this park, Myrtle Waves water park or Wild, Water and Wheels water park or just swing by when your done with your games for the day. Players and coaches are free and discounted admission will be available for all family members.

Grand Prix Family Race ParkThere will also be complimentary admission to Wild, Water & Wheels for all family members staying with select lodging partners is. Each water park features numerous slides, wave pools, lazy rivers and more. The Broadway Grand Prix Speed Park features 7 tracks and go carts of all different sizes. Take an exciting plunge on the world’s largest tubular slides, the Turbo Twisters, at Myrtle Waves. Take the Free Fall Cliff Dive, a water slide propelling you 45mph through a tunnel that opens up to a near vertical drop at Wild, Water and Wheels. Players also will receive vouchers for free appetizers and meals at local area restaurants, play 6-10 games on major league quality fields, participate in and have the opportunity to win skills competitions against other players, including Around the Horn, Home Run Derby, 9 Hole and Speed Burner. They’ll also have the opportunity to be selected to play in the Nationals All-Star Game that includes a special All-Star Jersey and medal.

After 5 consecutive days of competition among players, great memories and fun times, the tournament culminates on Championship Thursday. This is the tournament’s marquee day and one of the big reasons this is such a fun-filled experience for all of the players and coaches. The activities begin at 10 a.m. with the final four in each age group and end with the championship games starting under the lights at approximately 9:00 p.m. All players will participate in skills competitions, will be eligible to be selected for the Nationals All-Star teams, and will receive parting gift packages and goodies for their participation in the Nationals. By the end of the evening a national champion will be crowned!
