It’s at this time of the year that everyone in the area looks forward to the world famous Blue Crab Festival taking place in Little River, South Carolina. This 36th Annual World Famous Blue Crab Festival is held on the Waterfront in Little River on May 20 and 21, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and should not be missed!

The Blue Crab Festival is one of the largest festivals in the Southeast with attendance of more than 50,000 people. This year’s festival will feature more than 300 fine arts and crafts vendors, specialty food vendors, outstanding entertainment and a phenomenal children’s area.

The readers of the Sun News have awarded the Blue Crab Festival the “Best Annual Event/Festival on the Grand Strand” for the past six consecutive years. The festival is one of the leading events in the area that you won’t want to miss whether you live here or are on vacation. The event is open to the public. It provides attendees with a large variety of excellent vendors, entertainment, food and fellowship.

Blue crabs and other fresh, local seafood are available for purchase from local restaurants within the festival. The purpose of the festival is to support and showcase the fabulous atmosphere of the local Little River Community, North Myrtle Beach and the entire Grand Strand area of coastal South Carolina.

Admission tickets are $4 for a 1-day advance ticket, $5 for a 1-day general admission. Children 12 and under admitted free of charge. Advance tickets are available at Little River Chamber of Commerce, North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce, CresCom Bank – Little River Branch, CCNB – All Branches, and First Palmetto Bank – Little River.
